Background

Automotive technology provider OEConnection (OEC) has agreed to acquire Epyx, R2C Online and Business Gateway from Corpay as it looks to strengthen its position in the global aftersales market.

The acquisition will bring together OEC’s automotive technology network with Epyx’s fleet and repair management platforms. The deal, which is for an undisclosed amount, remains subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions and is expected to be completed later this year.

OEC said customers of Epyx, R2C Online and Business Gateway will continue to receive existing services, with current agreements and customer relationships remaining unchanged during the transition.

Epyx operates the 1link Service Network, which manages nearly 20,000 company car, van and truck service, maintenance and repair job sheets every day. The platform supports connections between fleets, repair networks and automotive service providers across the UK and Europe.

Patrick Brown, CEO of OEC, said the acquisition reflects the shared focus of both companies on supporting fleet operators and the wider aftersales industry through technology solutions.

Aditya Varadpande, managing director of Epyx, R2C Online and Business Gateway, said the companies have built strong relationships with fleets and repair businesses over more than two decades. He added that joining OEC creates new opportunities to support customers and partners.

Founded in 2000, OEC provides technology solutions connecting vehicle manufacturers, dealers, repairers, fleets, insurers and aftermarket suppliers. The company works with more than 35 vehicle manufacturers, 30,000 automotive suppliers and 135,000 wholesale customers worldwide.

OEC’s majority investor, Francisco Partners, will continue to support the combined business with investment and industry expertise following the completion of the transaction.

The acquisition marks another step in OEC’s expansion of its automotive technology ecosystem while helping fleets and repair networks improve service operations.
