Background
CEDIA will hold its largest UK event of the year at the Business Design Centre in London on July 7, wrapping up its 2026 UK Tech and Business Summit roadshow with a one-day gathering that brings together more than 40 sponsors from across the smart home industry.
The event targets integrators, manufacturers, distributors, designers and other professionals working in the residential technology space, with organisers saying the format is designed to encourage practical collaboration as smart home projects grow in complexity.
Matt Nimmons, Managing Director of CEDIA EMEA, said client expectations are rising and projects are becoming more technically demanding, making face-to-face exchange between different disciplines more valuable than ever.
A panel discussion forms one of the day’s centrepiece sessions. Titled “Collaboration to Build Success: Aligning Design, Space, and Technology on Home Integration Projects,” the panel brings together Durgesh Sinh of Nucleus, interior designer Alex Dauley and Kate Clare of Loud Architects to examine how early engagement between technology professionals, architects and designers can improve project results.
The educational programme also includes an accredited Continuing Professional Development session on integrated lighting design, led by Damien Smith of AV specialist Flux London.
The session will look at how lighting choices shape both the feel and function of residential spaces while keeping control systems straightforward for end users.
Exhibitors on the floor cover audio, video, lighting, networking, control and infrastructure categories. Brands confirmed for the event include Crestron, Monitor Audio, JVC, Sonos, Sony, KEF and Lutron.
The London summit follows earlier stops on CEDIA’s 2026 UK roadshow and marks the organisation’s biggest single event in the country this year.
